Year Age Acura Celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the Brand

We decided to make a short look into the past, particularly only one year ago, to 2011, when Japanese brand turned 25. In the anniversary year for the Acura, the company was going through hard times, although a decline in sales in recent years has been overcome.

However, in 1986, when the brand entered the market, confidence in the success was even smaller. Acura was the first Japanese luxury brand, and was the following after Lexus and Infiniti, which have heavily depended on already gained experience of Honda Motor. As you know, Acura has been and remains the brand exclusively for the North American market, mainly the United States. In 1986, the Americans have proposed two models – sedan Acura Legend, and 3 – and 5-door hatchback Acura Integra. They were a version adapted for American Honda on the domestic market of Japan in the maximum configuration.

But the real success came to Acura in 1991, when the market was entered by a model NSX, and to this day remains the object of desire of many fans of sports cars. The desire to unite in their models luxury and sportiness – perhaps is the key element for Acura in our days.
