Acura brand is going to bring to the car show in Beijing, which will begin its work at the end of April, a fundamentally new model of a compact crossover. According to preliminary information, the novelty will receive CDX name. It is based on the concept car SUV-X, which debuted publicly three years ago at the auto show in Shanghai. It is expected that the serial interpretation of crossover will receive less futuristic design of the front, but on the whole its silhouette will be identical to the prototype.

The basis for the CDX development is a platform that the Honda HR-V model is based on. Thus, it is possible to assume with a certain degree of certainty, that both cars will share much of the components and assemblies. The basic version of the new Acura will be offered with front-wheel drive and four-cylinder engine, but the customers will be able to purchase the modification with four-wheel drive for an extra cost. It should be noted that, most likely, we will not see six-speed manual transmission in the CDX product range.
