An updated Acura RLX sedan of 2018 model year (part 1)

Finally, Acura RLX sedan, firstly unveiled in autumn 2012, has been restyled. The renewed Acura model was presented to the public within the Car Week in Monterey few days ago. The car is modified in accordance with a new design key. Among the external changes there are new LED lights and modified exhaust pipes, as well as a black diffuser. The grille is made in the large pentagon form with small diamonds inside that is similar to recently released TLX and CDX cars.

The technical components of the basic RLX sedan equipped by front-wheel system and V6 3.5 motor generating the same 314 horsepower and 369 Nm of torque have profoundly changed. As example, the six-step automatic transmission has been replaced by a ten-step one. It led to the improved dynamics; nevertheless, the Company does not show the exact figures. It should be noted that if the RLX hybrid car attracts the drivers with all-wheel drive, the non-hybrid sedan is supplied by the fully-controlled Precision All-Wheel Steer chassis.

In the interior design of the standard RLX, there are no changes. The designers just have added the different finishing materials. In particular, a new Espresso design will be included in the assortment.
