Honda Concern Decides to Update Its Acura RL Leader

Being a luxury brand of the Honda concern, Acura has to keep its name high and clean, introducing all the time new concepts and developing new models, which would better satisfy the needs of the customers. In such a way, Honda, the mother concern of Acura, decided to update the RL model, which is very popular among the drivers.

The Acura RL car will be sold in the U.S. as a model for the 2011 year, but as the one with more updates, than the initial version. The power transfer of the machine remains the same with the engine of a capacity of 3.7-liter V6 rated at 300 hp, however, the thing, which has been upgraded is a gearbox – updated RL received six stages (previously it was five) and a special name «Sequential Sportshift». Using the new transmission, it was admitted, that the fuel consumption is greatly reduced and so the results now show that the RL model consumes 13.8 liters of conventional gasoline per hundred kilometers.

Just as the reminder, we can mention, that the RL model possess a full drive, which is controlled proprietary by a modern system, which is called Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD).
