Since its establishment in the year 1986, Acura strongly positioned itself as the major innovator in a luxury car market. Being a part of Honda concern, Acura was always able to surprise first its Japanese audience, and then the whole world with its forefront technology. And so is the new Acura ILX model.

In fact, this is going to be a first hybrid car, which will proudly wear the Acura’s logo on it. The concept makers used Honda Civic hybrid, as the bases for designing this model, because the target market was very pleased with such an innovation. In such a way a hybrid power train, which combines gasoline and electricity will be the heart of new Akura.

However, the outlook of the car has nothing to do with Honda Civic, which is quite pleasant news for the drivers, since they do not want to drive a premium car, which looks like the one in mass market. The whole frontal look of the car is somewhat softer than the previous models and not as sharp, but the way the windows look, makes it seem that the car is a hatchback, while it is not.

The developers of Acura ILX expect to sell up to 34000 cars in the first year of introduction.
