New York 2012 – Acura Showed the Concept of RLX

The Acura company introduced in one of their official showrooms in New York in 2012 the concept of its flagship sedan RLX, which will replace the current model of RL. Sales of the production version of the new products are scheduled for early next year.

And although there sedan contains the name of the prefix Concept, there is no doubt that the car will go into a series without any major changes, except for the 20-inch wheels of the unusual design. New Acura RLX 2012 became the first car in the line of this automaker to receive a hybrid power plant which is called Sport Hybrid SH-AWD, which combines a 3.5-liter V6 VTEC gasoline unit of the direct injection and a 7-speed transmission with two clutches and three electric motors.

The total output of such a facility is 370 hp, and the average fuel consumption in the combined cycle – 7.8 liters per hundred kilometers. Also sedan will be offered with a traditional petrol “Six” power of 310 hp and front wheel drive.
