Racing car Acura ILX is presented before the show in New York City

Acura has announced plans to introduce new racing car endurance ILX at New York Auto Show.
Designed in-house, racing car will compete in a series of endurance races NASA Endurance and the company says that their main purpose is to complete victory in the 25 hour race Thunder Hill.
Since this is not an easy task, the car is equipped with an aerodynamic kit that includes a front splitter, thin mirrors and rear wing noticeable. The model also has a racing suspension, auxiliary lights, and “racing tires and wheels.”

Since this is a model racing car, the interior was gutted and replaced with racing seats, roll cage and quickly detachable steering wheel – among other things.

Acura opened all the technical characteristics of its sports car, but confirmed that the engine of the car was fitted with forged pistons and connecting rods, racing cams, optimized air intake and new fuel injectors. The car also has a light battery, HPD engine mounts and a high-performance exhaust system. Other notable features include a light flywheel and racing clutch.
