As the Acura brand itself is a luxury subdivision of Honda, it is not a surprise, that their cars look quite compact. However, no one would dare to say that Acura is small, to the most they would say that it has only what is necessary for a car. Thus, it may be a surprise, that the smallest car from the Acura products was introduced recently.

The greatest surprise is, however, in the fact that we have already introduced this car to you in our previous articles, but most probably no one new back than that this model is the smallest. A concept version of the car had its debut in early January at the Auto Show in Detroit. It is expected that the market version of the Acura ILX prototype will feature slightly changed bumpers and other type of wheels.

Brand new sedan was built on the platform of the latest Honda Civic model. The smallest and compact Acura will be offered in the U.S. market with a line of four-cylinder gasoline engine the capacity of which is 2,0 and 2,4 liters. The last of them will appear in the hybrid version of the model and can be paired with a six-speed manual transmission. In addition, such a machine can be ordered and the first for a brand Acura hybrid gasoline-electric power plant.
