Honda registered in the US Patent Office name CDX, which is expected to be used for future compact crossover Acura, created on the basis of Honda HR-V. This publication reports Autoguide.
The new coupe will take place in the line of Acura on the step below the RDX. Last year, it was announced that this model will be based on Honda HR-V (under that name in Europe and the US are selling Japanese crossover Vezel) and be able to compete, for example, with the BMW X1.

At the heart of the crossover Honda HR-V is the platform of compact van Fit (or Jazz). In Europe the coupe is offered with a 120-horsepower diesel engine 1.6 and 1.5-liter petrol unit with capacity of 130 hp. In the US the model is available with a 140-strong “Quartet” of 1.8, and in Japan even with a hybrid power plant.
